You can hike over to Feit Island via the sandbar that connects it to the mainland. Driving on the other hand is only possible at low tide. Despite its small size and inaccessibility, people live on the island and it once even boasted two churches. Once the island was called Fenit Within and the town known as Fenit Without. This was due to the island being protected by a defensive wall and therefore was 'within' its protection.
There is a coastal walk around the perimeter of the island, but sadly public access to the full route is not currently possible.
