At 816 m, the Silberhütte is the highest pass in the Upper Palatinate Forest that can be reached on asphalt, just like the Dachsriegel
has already been announced. It connects Flossenbürg and the town of Bärnau with each other and thus also two different districts.
While it is a lonely little street in summer, there should be more going on up here in winter thanks to the cross-country skiing center. Also because there is the special feature that the trails are in the Czech Republic and Germany.
