Here is the "Golden Fish" by the wood sculptor Julian Zapłatyński. The artist was inspired by a fairytale treasure of gold, the gold treasure of Vettersfelde. The treasure was found in 1882 in a field between the villages of Vettersfelde (Witaszkowo) and Kaaso (Kozów), which today belong to the rural community of Gubin. Parts of the treasure are on the Berlin Museum Island. However, some parts were once on display in Guben and are now lost. After 1945, Polish archaeologists searched for the exact find spot for a long time. However, it was not until 2001 that international cooperation was able to determine the place where it was found. Excavations at the site then led to new findings. The pot of gold is of Scythian origin and dates from around 500 BC. Chr.
