The city's landmark is the Evangelical Lutheran Felsenkirche (Rock Church). It was built in 1911 by Albert Bause and consecrated in 1912.
As in most churches in the country, the stained-glass windows were donated personally by the emperor, and his wife donated the altar bible. Three side windows were commissioned by the Electors of Mecklenburg. Therefore, the Mecklenburg coat of arms can be found in the central window.
The church stands on the Diamantberg (Diamond Mountain) – from there, you have a wonderful view of the city.
