The crossing of the 17-meter-deep and 275-meter-wide Venø Sound is the shortest ferry connection in the country, with a journey time of only 2-3 minutes. Seat reservations are not necessary.
Departure times from Kleppen, on the mainland:
Weekdays except Saturdays: 5:30, 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, then every 20 minutes until 6:00 PM.
From 6:00 PM until the last departure, every 30 minutes until midnight. Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, December 24th and 31st: 6:00, then every 30 minutes until midnight.
Departure times from Venø are approximately 3 minutes later.
Arrive at the ferry at least 2 minutes before departure, which may vary by a few minutes.
