The Speicher is one of my favorite places in Erfurt. There is a café/bar in the historic building. You can sip a coffee or a glass of wine inside or in the courtyard in a historic atmosphere.

Opposite the house at Allerheiligenstrasse 8 "Zum güldenen Sternberg" (1519), the Waagegasse opens with a long front of stately three-storey warehouse buildings (16th and 17th centuries) in half-timbered construction.
These were warehouses for goods that had to be offered for sale during transport through Erfurt according to the staple right (granted to the city by Charlemagne in 805). The Waagegasse in Erfurt bends several times along its course and the entrances to the warehouses are arranged in such a way that the often multi-horsed wagons could enter without difficulty. Today, most of the warehouses house workshops and monument preservation.
