I could not figure out who Förster Funke was and what led him to honor him with this memorial stone. It may be worth mentioning that there is a registered rescue point here, which you can specify if you need help. With 'rescue meetings', an infrastructure has been created that enables quick help in the forest.

The rescue point "Förster-Funke-Eiche" with the marking PAD2-11 is a rescue point registered at the rescue center on the Paderborn high route. In case of an emergency call 112 and enter the rescue marker PAD2-11 and the location "Ranger Spark Oak".
Altogether 19 rescue points have been created on the Paderborn high trail. They serve to indicate the respective location in case of danger, so that the rescuers find the place quickly and reliably.
