    An idyllic location on the banks of the Semois. You will certainly relax at the picnic area on the waterfront. Young and old like to stay here on the waterfront.

    Some historical clue:
    The history of this mill goes back to the Middle Ages. the wall against the mountainside is said to date from the 12th century. The Moulin du Rivage is part of the beautiful natural setting of the Botassart. It is located at the confluence of the 'Grand Ruisseau' and the Semois, opposite the famous Tombeau du Géant.
    The oldest part of the current building dates from the early 19th century. The mill was in operation until 1950, after which it fell into disrepair.
    Renovations were carried out in the 1980s. On April 4, 1990, the mill (facades, roofing, engine room and supply channel) was listed as a monument in the protected site of the 'La Tombeau du Géant'.

    The house is now furnished as a holiday residence. Information to stay here can be found at moulindurivage.be/fr/molenhuis-bakhuis-schuur
    My wife and her girlfriends have stayed here several times in the past during 'their girlfriends weekend'. Always a moment to look forward to.
