A rarity when it comes to unusual vegetation: on the edge of the chapel hill, shortly after the chapel in the direction of Hofheim, you come to a small forest that could be on the Atlantic coast of France. A whole slope full of pine trees exude Mediterranean flair in the middle of the Taunus. It smells like France, when the sun is shining it looks like France. All that's missing is the sound of the sea. The A66 then has to take over.

A wrong order or intention led to the planting of this slope. And since it was so beautiful, they left it right away. Who knows, maybe this is where the cradle/future of the new, climatically adapted Taunus lies.
