The ship settlements at Gnisvärd (Swedish: Skeppsättningar)
They date back to the late Bronze Age. These ship settlements are among the best-preserved on Gotland.
Gnisvärd 1, with a length of 47 meters and a width of 7 meters, is the largest ship settlement on Gotland. It consists of approximately 100 closely spaced, upright stones. The stem and stern are approximately 1.3 meters higher than the rest of the ship. The ship settlement is surrounded by two smaller, round stone settlements.
About 100 meters further south lies Gnisvärd 2, another large ship settlement, measuring 36 meters long and 4 meters wide. However, except for the bow and stern, its stones are considerably smaller, protruding barely 30 cm from the ground. This ship setting is also surrounded by two smaller round stone settings and a rose with a diameter of 16 meters as well as other smaller and less well-preserved ship settings.
