The most striking thing about this castle is the wide 4-cornered residential and defense tower from the 13th century. Originally the tower was only lined with decorative battlements, today these are also covered by a pyramid roof. eppan.com

The former castle of various Tyrolean noble families is now a luxury hotel and restaurant with its own vineyards and fruit trees. This includes a WWII bunker that is now used as a wine cellar and events venue. Various hiking trails start from the car park below the castle, including the Appiano Castle Trail.

Today, Korb Castle is a luxury hotel with a restaurant, tennis courts and swimming pool. The plant has been the headquarters of the Dellago family since 1918, with their own wine and fruit growing. Fritz Dellago bought a bunker that is right next to the castle. This was built as part of the Alpine Wall at the time of Mussolini's reign. The bunker was rebuilt and now serves as a wine cellar and as a location for events and art exhibitions.
