Very nice and idyllic resting place between the Emser Berg and the Altenburg. Many hiking trails meet here and the touching story of Mrs. Engel is told, who regularly stopped here on the way to the market.

"The story of the angels Ruh refers to the name of Elisabeth Engel from Sand, daughter of the linen weaver Friedrich Engel. Elisabeth Engel was born in 1858. She was always called" angel "by all people from Sand and the surrounding area. Nothing changed when she married and became Mrs. Rothe.

She owned a cart that she used to buy fruit and vegetables from the farmers in Sand and the surrounding area and then offered it for sale every week at the Kassel market.
