Located between the sea and the hill (about 300 m high), 18 km from Rimini, Verucchio rises in the Marecchia valley which it dominates from a raised position.

It borders to the north with Santarcangelo di Romagna, to the east with Rimini, to the south with the State of San Marino and Sassofeltrio, to the south-west with San Leo and to the west with Poggio Torriana.

The municipal territory also includes an exclave: the hamlet of Pieve Corena, separated from the rest of the municipality by the State of San Marino and 12 km away.
