Short but demanding tour, due to the climbs that lead to the castles of Torriana and Montebello. Then today I continued towards the castle of Verucchio, but in this last climb, the slopes become easier (average 5%).
The tour starts from Rimini, continues following the coast road north towards Torre pedrera, from here it turns towards Santarcangelo and from here towards Poggio Berni, where the climb begins which takes 2.8 km with an average gradient of 10%. will lead us to the top.
This climb is practically divided into two sections, the first at 11%, five hundred meters "to breathe" then a long section at 15%. before entering the town of Torriana on the left we find via Castello.
This further climb, possibly to be considered as a continuation of the previous ones, takes us in about 800 meters to the castle of Torriana with an average gradient of 13% and peaks over 18%. slight descent and then new ascent towards Montebello with a single short demanding section of 12%. Go back because in Montebello the road ends, once again in Torriana, on the right begins the descent towards Ponte Verucchio. from here, follow the Marecchia river to the crossroads that lead to the last climb towards Verucchio. The descent towards the house is through the ridge of the "coasts of Sgrigna", a very panoramic ups and downs.
