Nature reserve in the west of the Wildeshauser Geest nature park. The ponds are regularly dammed, drained and, if necessary, desludged and weeded. According to Wikipedia, 35 to 50 tons of carp, tench, pikeperch and trout are extracted from the Ahlhorn fish ponds every year. - In the center of the ponds, in an idyllic location, is the Ahlhorn blockhouse, a Protestant youth home since 1946.
