At this location you have a beautiful view of a strip of No Man's Land.
As a landscape landmark for the first front lines, 140 tall trees were planted along the front line in Flemish fields. The Memorial Trees are always equipped with a metal tree basket. The concrete planting sites were determined after scientific research based on aerial photography and map research.
At this location you will clearly recognize a number of red and blue memorial trees on the edge of No Man's Land

To recognize the memorial trees, they were fitted with a metal tree basket. These are each provided with a sober color signal, based on the color use of the Allied frontline maps. Beam baskets on the British front line will have a blue top edge, the beam baskets on the German front line a red top edge. On each hive you will find an information board with a historical aerial photo and the location of the concrete front line.
