This place is now called "at the end of the world". The slipped slope makes it impossible to move forward. But you can go down to the beach on a steep path.
There were also some upscale restaurants here until the city was destroyed. The Belgians had a presence nearby during the German occupation. That's what people said when they went here: We're going to Belgium.

At the end of the long paved beach promenade the trail turns to gravel and then ends where the cliffs come very close to the water. For the 500th anniversary of Le Havre an artist erected a tall statue here of a man carrying his daughter on the shoulders, looking out over the sea to the 'end of the world'.
