    The cliffs of Panga are famous landmarks on the island. It is the tallest and longest cliff in the western islands of Estonia. Above the cliffs there is a nice hiking trail, always along the cliffs.

            Tucked away in the north of Saaremaa Island, Estonia, the Panga Cliff rises majestically. With its impressive height of up to 21 meters and an extensive length, it is the highest and longest cliff in the western Estonian islands.

            A walk on the picturesque hiking trail above the cliffs is an experience for the senses: the path always winds along the impressive rock formations, the drama of which is softened by the soft grass and the trees swaying gently in the wind. The sound of the sea forms a constant melody in the background, and the wide view over the glittering sea allows your thoughts to wander.

            The cliff has a special charm thanks to its base made of slate slabs that reach directly to the water's edge. For patient and attentive observers, these slate stones occasionally reveal traces of the past: petrified plants, silent witnesses to an era long gone.
