The two towers each consist of a red steel tube with a white band and a red lantern with a surrounding balcony and pointed dome. The 16 m above sea level NN high front light stands directly on the southern bank of the Lower Weser. 430 m inland and behind the dike is the 27 m high upper light. The two beacons were put into operation in April 1983 to replace the old leading lights. They form a leading light line of 119.6° and show a synchronous white common-mode fire with a return of four seconds (Iso.W.4s). The ranges are given as 15 nm.
