          The "Old Harbor" was converted into a museum harbor in 2001. The aim is to preserve evidence of maritime history from decay and the shipbreaking yard, and provide them with a home port. To this end, decommissioned commercial vessels are acquired, restored, presented, and kept in service.

          The historic "Old Harbor" is intended to complement the overall harbor image,
          to demonstrate to today's generation what commercial shipping once looked like on the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein, and specifically in Büsum.

          The nostalgic Persil clock, reminiscent of bygone times, is also a perfect fit.
