The Azzone Visconti Bridge, also known as Ponte Vecchio, is one of the symbolic monuments of the city of Lecco in Lombardy, built between 1336 and 1338 on the Adda River to improve the connections between Lecco and the Duchy of Milan. The viaduct, which connects Lecco to the Galbiate city of the same name Ponte Azzone Visconti, despite being very different from the original today, remains one of the most important examples of military engineering of the time.
