                The Hermitage of Monte Barro is an ancient refuge located at about 790 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Monte Barro Natural Park, in the province of Lecco. This historical and cultural site is home to the Barro Archaeological Museum, the Environmental Education Center and the Church of Santa Maria, a late Gothic building of great interest. The Hermitage is easily reached from Galbiate via a panoramic road that offers spectacular views of the San Martino Valley, Lake Lecco and the surrounding mountains.

                Once you arrive at the Hermitage, you can explore the museum, the environmental education center, visit the church and enjoy the tranquility of the place, immersed in an uncontaminated natural environment. Monte Barro, with its summit offering a 360-degree panoramic view, is also an ideal starting point for excursions to the summit, with well-marked routes suitable for medium-level hikers.

                The Hermitage also hosts a restaurant that offers typical mountain cuisine, allowing visitors to enjoy local cuisine in a suggestive setting, immersed in nature. The place is particularly appreciated for the peace and beauty it offers, becoming an ideal destination for those looking for a day of excursion or a regenerating break in contact with nature.
