The Georgengarten is a park in the style of an English landscape park. It is a typical late Romanesque park that was deliberately laid out in contrast to the Baroque design ideas. In other words, it is also in contrast to the Baroque Great Garden. The 0.56 km² Georgengarten was named after the English Guelph King George IV. It contains the almost two-kilometer-long Herrenhäuser Allee, the Leibniz Temple and the Georgenpalais. The large lawns look like a wide and seemingly natural meadow landscape. The many groups of trees create spaces of different sizes in a wide variety of forms. This gives you varied impressions with interesting views when you walk through the park. The pond with the Leibniz Temple next to it is also particularly idyllic.
