The east descent is a special hiking highlight for me.
I always have a lot of respect for the descent, even if I have walked it many times. In any case, you have to be sure-footed, wear sturdy shoes and possibly have to walk similar routes here and there.
It's just as beautiful up there

Nice climb to Michelsberg. It is really steep, partly exposed. But so secured with railings that it is actually already exaggerated. You have to make an effort if you want to crash.

The east climb corresponds to the east descent. Sure-footedness is required and good footwear. If you have problems with your knees, you better take the eastern ascent to Michelsberg. Have lots of fun with it.

Beautiful narrow nature trail east of the Michelsberg with a view of the other side of the Birktal.
The remains of the fortifications are a highlight.
From the viewpoint you have a great view of Kipfenberg and the castle.

A very nice climb to the Michelsberg. The eastern ascent leads from below, just behind Kipfenberg, uphill in some steep turns and steps. Mostly secured with railings and easy to walk. The view of Kipfenberg Castle is always beautiful.

I really enjoy going to Bene's for burgers. Nice personel. Reserve in advance ;)
After a hike up the Michelsberg, I recommend the burger “The Michelsberg is calling” :)
For those who are more confident there is the “Bud Spencer Burger”
