The tower is a nice landmark next top Cabopino beach. There is a big parking spot about 200m north of the tower, which is a good starting point for a beach walk.

Some historical information:
This tower is part of the coastal defensive system arranged by the Christian monarchs after the conquest of this territory from the Muslims. It is a pyramidal trunk building, with a square base, which rises like a prism, decreasing in size as it grows in height. It has three floors and a terrace.
These towers were arranged as guard posts, more or less equidistant from each other and on the coastline. Almenara, from Arabic, means lighthouse or place where there is light, alluding to the fires that were made on the terrace of the tower, which was the code established to warn of the presence of enemy vessels.
Its construction is attributed to the time of Muslim domination.
