The Marbella Lighthouse is a maritime beacon for those arriving at the port. The Marbella lighthouse project was approved in 1861. The reasons were based on the existence of a busy anchorage. The slightly truncated conical brown tower is attached to the guardhouse. The tourism impulse of the area meant that the lighthouse was practically within the built environment, creating confusion between the light and that of the houses. In 1974 the lighthouse was replaced by another of a larger size. Surrounded by gardens and close to the promenade and beach, the lighthouse is now preserved as a tourist attraction.

It was designed in 1861 by the engineer Antonio Molina and put into operation on March 15, 1864. It is automatic, electric and is illuminated by a photocell. Height: 29 m. Light signals: 2x flashes every 14.5 seconds. Theoretical range: 22 nautical miles.
