Here you will find the largest ensemble of historic craftsmen's houses in Nuremberg. As the name suggests, leather craftsmen - the tanners - used to live here. Today you can find cafes, bars and small shops here. In my opinion, one of the most beautiful streets in Nuremberg.

Weißgerbergasse is one of the best-preserved historical streets in Nuremberg. 22 buildings remained intact during World War II. The narrow, mostly 3 and 4-story houses from the 16th and 17th centuries have been lovingly renovated and give a lively impression of a typical Nuremberg craftsmen's quarter. In this district, white tanners who made light-colored leather lived and worked.

Weißgerbergasse is a street in Nuremberg. It is one of the few predominantly preserved monumental ensembles in Nuremberg's old town. It is lined with bars, restaurants and galleries.

Weißgerbergasse is located in Nuremberg's district 0 - 06 in Sebalder's old town north of the Pegnitz. It runs from Maxplatz in the south near Pegnitz, first north-east, then east in the direction of Sebalduskirche to Weinmarkt. To the north, Geiersberg and Irrerstrasse run parallel to Weißgerbergasse. Irrerstrasse begins at Weinmarkt. The south side of the corner house at Irrerstraße 1 is on Weißgerbergasse.
