Chapel of the Cordeliers, then of the Pénitents Bleus (14th - 15th centuries). Its "flamboyant Gothic" porch is rare in Languedoc. The choir and several spans were destroyed in the 19th century, along with the ramparts against which it stood. After having served as a meeting place for the representatives of the three Orders (Clergy, Nobility, Third Estate) for the drafting of the notebook of grievances, the chapel was sold during the Revolution, then bought and entrusted to the Brotherhood of Blue Penitents.
Observe on the back wall the huge model, made between 1780 and 1810: it is the reproduction, to the nearest millimeter, of a gunboat commissioned by Louis XVI for the States of Languedoc. This warship patrolled along the coast of Biterrois, to discourage "Barbary pirates"
