The parish church of St. Anthony in Roth near Gerolstein was built in 1899–1900 in the neo-Gothic style and, with its striking tower, dominates the villagescape. It stands on the site of an older chapel dedicated to St. Anthony the Hermit. Inside, there are stained-glass windows and a richly decorated high altar, impressively reflecting the rural Eifel faith of the 19th century.
