The stage from Ouirgane to Oulad Berhil is 120 km with 1800 meters of elevation gain. The road up to the Tizin' Test pass is fantastic. However, there's a lot of roadwork following the earthquake two years ago; they're resurfacing all the roads. You'll find some sections that are well-paved and others that are muddy and full of potholes. I recommend taking a gravel bike with 40mm tires; they're sufficient for the descent as well, though there are some muddy and gravelly sections. That's why we love gravel biking—an indescribable feeling of well-being, happiness, and freedom. If you're passing through Ouirgane, stop at the Auberge Le Mouflon chez Rachida. The tajine and kefta are absolutely top-notch, incredible, and the welcome is wonderful. And don't hesitate to stop at the pass to see Said; he makes delicious omelets before the 30 km descent. The temperature at the top in late November was quite cold, and it's best to be properly equipped for the descent.
