A must-visit is the Roman Amphitheater in Chester, the largest of its kind in Britain. Once the scene of gladiatorial combats and public events, it now offers a fascinating insight into Roman entertainment. The ruins of the amphitheater are well preserved and give a sense of the size and splendor of this ancient arena.
For history buffs, there are informative panels explaining the history and significance of the amphitheater. Let your imagination run wild and imagine the cheering crowds and dramatic battles that took place here.
