The Tschierva House is the starting point for crossing the Piz Bernina via the Biancograt and the Piz Bianco. People usually only stay here for one night. The food is not bad. You sit with others at larger tables and have to share from pots and bowls yourself. This promotes a sense of community.
In the evening there is tea for the tour to fill up (it's very sweet).
There are also deck chairs on the terrace.
The beer costs the equivalent of around €8.50 for 0.5 l!!
For those who want to climb the Biancograt, breakfast is at 3 a.m., but you can have a packed lunch in the evening instead and then set off earlier.
