The Marinelli Bombardieri refuge is the Valtellina refuge with the strangest name. Located at 2750 meters above sea level, it was inaugurated in 1880 with the name of Rifugio Scerscen and two years later it was called Marinelli in honor of its creator, Damiano Marinelli. After the Second World War it was further enlarged thanks to the impulse of Luigi Bombardieri, mountaineer and writer. Here the panorama that opens before the eyes is simply spectacular.
