The Wöbbelin concentration camp was the last satellite camp of the Neuengamme concentration camp to be set up. From mid-April 1945 it served as a reception center for evacuation transports from dissolved concentration camps, mostly from other satellite camps of the Neuengamme concentration camp. This concentration camp was located between Ludwigslust and Wöbbelin in the municipality of Groß Laasch and existed for ten weeks - from February 12, 1945 to May 2, 1945.

This memorial is inconspicuous right on the street. There is a small information board and a "peephole" through which you can look. You can see an original photo that was taken by a soldier exactly at this point. A tiny little glimpse of how cruel it was here once. A deceased were buried by the Airbourne in the castle park of Ludwigslust
