The small village of Prascondù is known for the presence of a large sanctuary dedicated to the Madonna. It is said that in 1619 Giovannino Berrardi, a young resident who remained speechless, had an apparition in this very place. The Virgin asked him to go to Loreto and he accepted the request with great devotion. Returning from the trip, as a sign of gratitude, Our Lady gave him her voice again. The town welcomed him in celebration and they had a church built there where the boy had had the apparition.
