Until a few years ago, even 2nd Bundesliga and 24-hour tournaments were played here. Unfortunately, the club has dissolved. What remains is a beautiful facility, tracks are a bit longer than the small golf and concrete.

As far as can be seen, you can register for various events in the mill. Various menus (e.g. for weddings) are already displayed in the menu box on the house wall. A "normal" restaurant is apparently not operated here.

Located directly on the Lochbach, the "Scheider Mühle" is named for the first time in 1640 in the baptismal register of the Reformed community in Wald. Until 1915 it was in operation as a mill for the preparation of rye meal, wheat and buckwheat.

In Solingen-Wald, in the Dältgenstal am Lochbach, above Dorpskotten, near the Mummenscheid estate, the Scheider Mühle is located on Scheider Mühlenweg 2. On Zeppelinstrasse, a sign points to this traditional restaurant with a party barn and mini golf course.

Erich Ploennies marked the Scheider mill on his topographical map from 1715 on the right side of the stream.

History and owner

Lt. The baptismal register of the Reformed congregation in Wald is baptized on August 4th, 1640 Henrich, the son of Jan vom Rosenkampf, Müller zum Scheid. "Here we find a 'Müller zum Scheidt' for the first time. This is likely to be the owner of the Scheidermühle at the time. [Günther, ST, July 25, 1936]
