Fronte Beckers Sculpture Park

Discover art between old fortress walls and lush greenery

In addition to the very impressive buildings of the former Germersheim fortress, which historians repeatedly describe as unique examples of fortress architecture, you will find a wide range of works of fine art in public spaces.

In the Fronte Beckers sculpture garden, for example, you will discover true treasures. In 1997, an international sculpture symposium transformed the moat of the Fronte Beckers fortress into a fascinating sculpture park. A total of 10 objects are on display in the sculpture park. Art lovers will find further sculptures in the city center. Together with the "Experience Art" brochure, which is available from the Tourist Information for a nominal fee, you can embark on an informative journey of discovery to the sculptures and art objects that can be found in numerous places in the city center.
