Please note: there are also parts where you can enter or exit without a gate but via a step. Always look carefully at the signs regarding pedestrians and dogs. The changes that have taken place here apparently cause confusion at times and here and there people come and go via older entrances or even come through by bicycle.

The Belse Heide (part of Bels Broek en Heide in Geel) uses a permanent sheep fence for natural grazing. The area is open to visitors, but due to the presence of grazers and fragile natural environments, specific rules apply to maintain peace and quiet. For example, dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
