Next to the artwork there is a small cafe - Blomstercafeen. Very nice, friendly service and reasonable prices.

Beautiful fountain and sculptures at the art museum.

The square is 1600m2 and the buildings were designed by architects Kjeld Bjerg, while the large complex was designed by sculptor Bjørn Nørgaard. The new building frames the square and the water feature. In the evening, a glowing purple band glows along the building's lines, as well as bathing the water feature in light. Bjørn Nørgaard's mega work of art is a very comprehensive staging with a real wealth of mythological references, all of which are structured according to basic historical and geometric forms.

P. Nørkjærs Square is the central square for Bjørn Nørgaard's sculptures in Hjørring. Art is one side of existence, seen from an individual point of view. Art and trade have always gone hand in hand, either for pleasure or out of necessity. Equal parts art and trade - with mutual respect - have led to the creation of the remarkable P. Nørkjærs Square as an international attraction in the center of Hjørring.
