Because of its shape, the high-rise at 20 Fenchurch Street is also known as The Walkie-Talkie or The Pint ("The Beer Glass"). A height of 200 m was originally planned; however, this was reduced to 160 m due to its proximity to St Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London. In 2015, the building won the Carbuncle Cup, an award for the ugliest building in the UK.

History of 20 Fenchurch Street: The curvature of the glass facade meant that reflected solar radiation was so concentrated that e.g. B. Damaged plastic on parked cars. As a result, several parking spaces were closed and slats were installed on the south side to prevent sunlight reflections.
