The Dreiländereck is a well-known and also a special excursion destination via Arnoldstein, as this is where 3 national borders meet (Austria, Italy & Slovenia).
It is 1509 meters above the Adriatic Sea and was built in June 1970 by Mayor Josef Nessmann.
From the top you have a wonderful view of all 3 countries with their mountains and valleys when the weather is nice.
After the hike you can relax in the Dreiländereck hut.
Highly recommended!

The climb to the border triangle is very steep and strenuous. After you have used up your strength 💪 and reached the top, you are rewarded with a wonderful view.

Stove (also Tromeja) in Italian Monte Forno and in German Dreiländereck or. Ofen is a 1508 m high peak located on the tri-border between Slovenia, Italy and Austria. From the top, where there are a large number of memorials in three languages, we have a beautiful view of the Julian Alps, Zilja Alps, Krško Alps, High and Low Tours and part of the western Karavanke. The Slovenian registration box and stamp are located next to a small house of nearby transmitters. On the Italian side of the peak there is a slightly larger wooden shelter, and from the Austrian side there is a ski lift to the top of the nearby ski resort Podklošter / Arnoldstein.
