The village center of Testelt is protected as a village view. The protection includes the parish church of Sint-Pieter with the surrounding streets, including the town hall, the presbytery, the oil warehouse, the water mill and village houses and townhouses, mainly from the 19th century.

Especially the water mill and the long building with heavy substructure of iron sandstone that already existed (at least the core) in the 15th-16th century are often photographed.
