In this forest reserve, nature is allowed to take its course: trees are allowed to grow old here undisturbed and will eventually die standing. Before they die, they produce extra seeds and thus provide a carpet of new seedlings. The strongest sprouts will grow into new trees and ensure the survival of the forest.
