산악자전거 라이딩
The carbonic acid, iron and sulfur leading source on the right bank of the Waldnaab directly on the trail between Kammerwagen and Butterfaß is called Sauerbrunnen. It concerns a Säuerling (constriction source) presumably the Nachhall of the tertiary volcanism in northeast Bavaria is to be assigned. The water of the sour well is in the majority not as "savory" felt. The cause lies mainly in the iron content.

In my opinion, the Sauerbrunnen is the least spectacular stopover on a hike through the Waldnaabtal. There is a spring with "acidic" (= mineral-rich) water and a small covered pavilion.

The Sauerbrunnen is a source that contains carbonic acid and iron. The carbonic acid comes as a gas from the depths as a sign of volcanism. The water of the Sauerbrunnen dissolves iron from the rock, is reddish in color and tastes slightly sour.
