Without exaggeration, it is very steep. It should only be attempted in good weather conditions. Not when there are deer, mud or ice.
The "mountain rescuers" of the Palatinate Forest, however, are not keen on this. When we reached the top, we were informed that on average 200 people have to be rescued each year and that we were asked to stay on the "normal" hiking trails. This climb is nevertheless a legal route. However, in the interest of everyone, it should really only be attempted by sure-footed people who have a reasonable level of fitness.
