Cairngarroch is a 1,827-foot (557 m) hill which sits along the Galloway Ring of Fire route. There are various high points along this complex summit and the terrain is a mixture of tussock, bog and patchy heather. There is a great view to the Rhinns of Kells range to the northeast but my favourite view is the one down to Loch Dee to the northwest, especially at sunset.
