This café with a wonderful terrace (and the view to match) is located at the starting point, which is also the end point of this route - so you have the choice of whether you want to strengthen yourself or relax.

The café is named after the district of Aard in the municipality of Wichelen, in which you are located. Alternatively, you could also visit Cafés Scheldebries. From both locations you look out over the Meersen and landscape artist Will Beckers' work Voyager, a metal and wood installation in the shape of a heart.
