The rock protruding from the old railway bridge opposite the Weisseritz was called Rabenstein in earlier times, and according to legend it has been called Trompeterfelsen since the beginning of the 19th century. A Saxon trumpeter is said to have jumped here with his horse during the war to escape from enemy troops. In any case, it is an impressive rock in the Seifersdorfer Grund.

According to legend, a trumpeter jumped down from there on his horse during the Seven Years' War, fleeing from the enemy. The horse died, but the trumpeter survived. However, he happily blew his trumpet afterwards, the enemy fired and (version 1) shot the trumpeter / (version 2) the bullet got stuck in the trumpet, but the trumpeter survived ;-)
