            The Dwingeloo Radio Telescope, located near the village of Dwingeloo in the municipality of Westerveld in the northeastern Netherlands, is a single-dish radio telescope with a diameter of 25 m. Construction began in 1954 and was completed in 1956. At that time, it was the largest radio telescope in the world.

            It has been out of operation since 2000 and was officially declared a Dutch industrial monument in August 2009. It was dismantled for restoration in June 2012 and reinstalled in November 2012. The C.A. Muller Radio Astronomy Station Foundation, or CAMRAS for short, then put the radio telescope back into operation in collaboration with its owner, ASTRON.
