The bathing area is located on the "Badeinsel Güster / Blaue Lagune" campsite south of the town center of Güster on the southern shore of the Prüßsee, which was created from former gravel pits and is up to 17 meters deep. To enter the bathing area, an entrance fee must be paid at the "Blue Lagoon" restaurant.

The bathing island has been artificially filled with sand and offers a real sandy beach feeling in the middle of the Duchy of Lauenburg. The approximately 250 meter long strip of shore is bordered by reed belts that may not be walked on or driven on. Non-swimmers and swimmers in the water are separated from each other by a chain. The large sandy beach offers almost exclusively sunbathing areas.

There is a restaurant near the swimming area and toilet and shower facilities on the campsite.

Stand-up paddling and canoeing are allowed on the lake. Please get on away from bathers, be considerate of animals and plants and note that there are also pleasure boats on the lake and the nearby Elbe-Lübeck Canal.
